Situated in the heart of Scottish Border country, St Mary's Loch and Loch o' the Lowes offer the adenturous pike angler superb sport in a magnificent setting.
The larger St Mary's Loch is 3 miles long, half a mile wide and 150 foot deep. Connected to St Mary's by a small river is the Loch o' the Lowes.
St Mary's Angling Club controls the fishing and offers use of their five boats for a small fee. If rowing is not your thing then bring your own outboard (max 4hp).
A tagging program is in place and you are encouraged to report your pike captures to the Loch Keeper. Dead baits, lures and flies take pike to 25 pounds with the average weight being more than 11lb.

- The Tibbie Sheils Inn at the head of St Mary’s loch offers meals and accommodation at a reasonable cost
- About 300yds from the hotel is the Glen Cafe which in addition to meals offers sweets and snacks
- Nearest shops are 16 miles away in Selkirk and Moffat
- Public toilets are situated next to the Cafe

- All pike must be returned alive
- No live baits.
- Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Bivvies may be used in agreement with Loch Keeper
- Maximum 4 rods
- No dogs allowed
