Description: Gailey Trout Fishery is a 35 acre Reservoir with over a mile of superb bank fishing. It is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, brown trout, blue trout, tiger trout and even arctic char. The lake is open for fly fishing 364 days a year, and that includes fly fishing for pike. Traditional piking including deadbaiting and livebaits starts on 1st October and runs through to the end of February. Recent captures include a twentyeight pounder on a trout livebait and a twentysix pounder caught on a fly. Live trout can be purchased on site. Boats and electric motors are available to hire.
Directions: Gailey is located just 800yrds from junction 12 of the M6 Motorway just off the main A5 heading towards Cannock turning into Gailey Lea Lane.
Season: Pike fishing from 1st October until end of February.
Open all year for fly fishing, including fly fishing for pike.
Day Ticket: Pike fishing: £10.00
Membership: Pike season: £150.00

Pike Rules:
  •  Only live bait purchased from Gailey may be used (No live bait to be brought on to the water).
  •  Commercial dead bait may be used e.g. lamprey, mackerel etc.
  •  Rods must not be left unattended.
  •  Only large barb-less lures may be used (8 inches).
  •  No Sail floats may be used.
  •  All trout, and any pike over 12lb must be returned to the water alive.
  •  Trout caught must be returned with care, damaged Trout to be purchased at £2.50 each.
  •  Boat anglers have right of way approximately 35 yards from Banks.
  •  The management reserve the right to limit numbers as required.
  •  Pike Anglers are required to fish alternate platforms, Max 2 rods per angler.No reserving platforms.
